Walker Andrew Sisk (January 15, 1981 - November 8, 2003)
Firefighter Walker Sisk was one of the first men to welcome me to the
Seminole Trail Volunteer Fire Department when I started doing massage on a
volunteer basis in the Spring of 2002.
Walker was consistently enthusiastic, inquisitive, encouraging, and
supportive of my efforts to bring therapeutic massage into the busy lives
of the volunteer firefighters at the station. He appreciated what I
was doing, and never failed to make me feel welcome at the station.
I only knew Walker in the context of the fire station, and our paths
didn't cross that often, but he touched my life in a very positive way,
and he will be sorely missed. Given my own deep sadness, I can
only imagine how painful his passing must be to his parents and to the men and women who were
his family at the fire station. My heart goes out to each and every
one of them.
