Text of Lecture:  "Massage for Persons With Disabilities - High Tech or Low Tech - Either Way, You Win!"

Abstract: 

Therapeutic massage has been shown to have powerful preventative and restorative effects on the human body, but is an alternative that is not often sought by members of the disability community.  The purpose of this presentation is to educate the listener about therapeutic massage in general, how it can be of benefit specifically to persons with disabilities, and to demonstrate techniques and adaptive equipment that can assist in the delivery of therapeutic massage to individuals of all ages and disabilities.
